Lumeal - AI Calorie Tracker

By downloading, installing, or using Lumeal ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

Lumeal is an AI-powered nutrition tracking application. The App allows you to photograph meals and have AI identify foods and estimate nutritional content, scan product barcodes to look up nutrition information, track daily calorie and macronutrient intake, monitor weight and hydration, set and monitor personalized nutrition goals, receive AI-generated coaching tips, daily summaries, and weekly reports, get AI-powered smart food swap suggestions, save favorite meals for quick re-logging, view analytics, achievements, and streak progress, export your data in CSV or JSON format, use home screen and Lock Screen widgets, share meal cards to social media, and sync data across devices via a cloud account. You may use the App without creating an account (local-only mode). To enable cloud sync, you can create an account via Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for providing accurate profile information for proper nutrition calculations. You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and must not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the App, interfere with the App's servers or infrastructure, upload illegal or harmful content, create multiple accounts to abuse free tier limits or trial offers, or use automated scripts or bots to interact with the App.

The App, including its design, code, AI models integration, content, and branding, is owned by Lumeal and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of your photos and personal data. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to process your photos and data solely for providing the service as described in our Privacy Policy. This license includes processing food photos through AI services for nutritional analysis, storing data in cloud infrastructure for sync purposes, and generating anonymized analytics. This license terminates upon account deletion.

IMPORTANT: Lumeal is not a medical device, and AI-generated nutrition information is an estimate only. AI food recognition may misidentify foods, quantities, or nutritional values. Calorie and macro estimates are approximations and should not be relied upon for medical dietary needs. AI coaching tips, daily summaries, weekly reports, and smart food swap suggestions are general wellness guidance, not medical or dietary advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional or registered dietitian for medical nutrition therapy, food allergies, eating disorders, or other health conditions. The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind. We disclaim all liability for decisions made based on AI-generated nutrition estimates, tips, or recommendations.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lumeal shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to reliance on AI-generated nutrition information. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lumeal from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

You may delete your account at any time via the App's Settings. Upon account deletion, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service with reasonable notice.

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Lumeal operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the App. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
